FOOTBALL

PSI covers football for 26 schools in 4 Divisions in the PCAL. Anzar and Trinity Christian play 8-man football.

Games at all three levels - Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity - are covered by 5-man crews.

This season the NFHS has three points of emphasis:
1) Flagrant and unsportsmanlike Fouls

2) Helping the Runner

3) Sideline Management and Control

Each official undergoes 18-20 hours of training in Zoom and In-person meetings, on-field Jamboree training, and completion of one or more selected examinations on rules. The Leadership chooses HUDL clips each week to review by the crew and the entire group. Veteran officials submit applications to participate in post-season games at the Section and State Levels.
